"Heaven is a '57" won Second in Show at the 2009 City of Palm Springs 11th Annual Art Show. "Moooonlight" won 3rd place in Watercolor. Purchase information for both pieces is available on my website http://dianemorganpaints.com/
Thank you, Ed. I'm so sorry I missed out on Karin's portrait swap because I was away. I'm glad to be back at painting and just submitted my latest challenge painting of the Jefferson Monument. Different Strokes challenges are so great, and have garnered some wonderful new relationships with fantastic painters like you!
Yes, Erika.....that's '57 Chevy Bel Air. Belongs to a friend of mine. My family had one also, back in the day. Ours was a turquoise convertible...really fun!
Diane, This has got to be one of the nicest watercolors I have ever seen. To capture all that chrome in oil would be a challenge. I can't image how difficult it would be in watercolor. Only 2nd place?... What were the judges thinking?
Thanks Mark! This piece was in the Best of Show category so it was in a higher level than just 2nd best watercolor. The Best of Show was actually a photograph. Photograhy certainly has come a long way in the "art" world in recent years.

Thank you, Diane. You are a pretty fantastic painter yourself!
Please excuse my car ignorance, but is that a 57 chevy? My girlfriend loves those! Excellent piece!
