I taught my first watercolor workshop today. I selected 2 pears on a mirror with clouds reflected to use as my demo from which they copied. I didn't know the skill level of the 15 participants and wanted to select a fairly easy shape to paint with a background that is forgiving. They all did great! You never know when you do something new how it will turn out. It was fun. I actually liked doing it. They say if life doesn't give you butterflies once in awhile your life is too boring. What can be better than getting paid to do something you love and meeting nice people at the same time. Not much :-}

Wow! Look at you Teacher! Congrats on a successful class! I would love to take a class from you.
I'd love to take a class from you too. Did you furnish the drawing or have them do their own? Really like the greens you used in the pears. Have always wanted to paint those gorgeous red pears that are in the grocery from time to time. Congratulations on your fun class!!
Hey Mollie, wouldn't it be fun to have each of the ArtColony members do a demo. What a workshop THAT would be! I say we all go on a cruise and do that. The group I worked with yesterday asked me to supply a photo for them to work from so they each painted the same piece. I almost did red pears. You've inspired me to tackle some red ones soon.
Sheila, your sushi turned out fab. One of my friends told me mine looked like bloody meatballs. They did look kinda red on Karin's site, but a little better on mine. Thanks for the nice comments about my first watercolor class. It sure would be great to meet all the DSFDF artists someday.
Don't think I could carry off a demo if my very life depended on it so you'd just have to do mine in addition to yours.!!!
I know you'll be a wonderful teacher, Diane! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Also, beautiful painting! I love the surreal look of it - great idea!
Congratulations on your workshop. Those pears are yummy color.
These pears are fantabulous! Wish I'd had your class before painting my recent pear.
Garriott without the hotels.....you don't need me. Your pears are great. I love your color choices!
