This is the latest challenge for Karin Jurick's Different Strokes From Different Folks blog. She provided the photo of the marble statue of "A Companion of Diana." Since Diana was the goddess of the moon and the hunt, I decided to place her on a moonlight hunt. Thank you Karin. These challenges are great fun. You really went above and beyond, Diane. Well done!
Very bold yet the posture of the statue is dreamy. Came together nicely.

Thank you everyone. I've been wanting to paint a landscape like this for quite awhile. "Diana" was the perfect catalyst.
Diane, you did such a wonderful composition for Diana's nymph. Beautiful!
I am awarding you "A Passion for Painting" award. If you'd like to accept it, just go to my blog Texas Sauce Art Life, pick up the award to post on your blog and list seven things you love. Then you will send it to seven other deserving artists. That's all there is to it, but the award carries a nice sentiment and coming from one's peers, it means a lot. Congrtulations!
Thank you Nita. I'm honored to receive the award. Thank you very much!
