Tried a new surface. Arches watercolor board. It's quite nice. Fun to work with. Stains a little easier with some colors, but overall I'd give it a two thumbs up. No buckling because the entire sheet is glued to a board. No need to tape or staple to a support. Comes in 32" x 40" sheets. Quite reasonable.
