As a kid, for Christmas we gave my grandfather a box of chocolate covered cherries and a carton of Lucky Strike cigarettes every year. He said that's what he wanted. I had originally painted this with a black background. It just didn't seem right for this subject. Didn't look appetizing or fun. Ice cream cones are supposed to be fun. For those of you with summer fading, hope this extends it a little. It took some getting used to when I first moved to southern California, but so nice not to dread winter.
