Red Onions thumbnail color sketches

I like to do several thumbnail color sketches to help decide the best background color for a painting.
We'll be painting red onions in Saturday's watercolor class.

Garlic for Sale

Granville Island Market in Vancouver, BC is a garden of delight for the senses. A farmers' market with fresh fruits and vegetables, freshly caught fish, freshly baked breads, gourmet meats, cheeses and oils, chocolates and fudge, soups and sauces, pies and cakes.....flowers, wandering minstrels, artwork and crafts. You can spend hours, days taking in all the wonderful sights and scents and tastes. Amid all the splendor...a simple display of garlic for sale caught my eye. This 5-3/4"x 8" oil on gallery-wrap canvas is available for $150 on my website http://www.dianemorganpaints.com/
